You could argue it's almost ground zero for electro/clash and everything that has dominated general interest in dance music since, <i>and</i> it's still fresher than 99.9% of all that jazz anyway.<br /><br />And where general interest is concerned, do mark this as the beginning of the end of that predominant "Lifestyle House" phase (which was killing itself out anyway - thank god) from which House only recently recovered in the last few years.&nbsp;<i>Coincidentally&nbsp;this new "slow mo" vibe - that is being quickly copied and caricatured is dangerously close to steering perception of House back into that stagnation zone - is worth discussing, but we'll save that for another time, friends</i>), and the beginning of the internet as the premier musical vehicle (ie, away from clubs and dancefloors). The internet at top of the culture pyramid disseminating the trends, music as a visual "content", and all that.
